Girlfriends I have been a fan of Hyaluronic Acid (HA) for the past few years after my esthetician introduced it to me as a topical “filler” for the skin. So what is Hyaluronic Acid you ask? Well it’s not an acid at all, rather Hyaluronic Acid is a polysaccharide, which occurs naturally in the human body to help cushion and lubricate the joints. It’s found in connective tissue and eye fluids, however, almost fifty percent of hyaluronic acid found in the body is in the skin, making it a major component of skin tissue. As our bodies age, we lose a lot of HA, thus we lose the supple skin texture of our youth. It is also used as the main component in injectables like Juvederm and Restylane.
I was recently sent the Jan Marini Hyla3D serum to test out and review. The product was developed to restore hydration, volume, smoothness and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Lord knows I have some fine lines and newly discovered wrinkles 😦
- Liposomal Encapsulated HA
- Cross-Linked HA
- Ultra-Low Molecular Weight HA
- Traditional HA
- Tissue Respiratory Factor
- HA Booster
- HA Peptide
- Coenzyme Q10
I have been applying a thin layer to my face morning and night, before moisturizing, and have noticed that the fine lines around my eyes and forehead have diminished slightly. Also, my skin does appear plumper and more hydrated throughout the day. Overall, I would definitely suggest this product if you’re in the market for an HA serum.
